Where does the money go?

ALL donations received for miniTutorials gets put straight back into the miniTutorials site one way or another. Some of the things are listed here below :

• Yearly purchase of webspace.
• Yearly purhcase of Domain Name.
• Yearly Licence for IPB Forums Boards Software.
• IPB Forums upgrades.
• VMware License.
• Other software as needed

Once the above costs are taken care of, I can then convert any remaining donations into time, in which I can spend writing new tutorials. The time invested in writing new tutorials includes time spent installing and testing various software. A lot of these tutorials need to be updated as new versions of the software become available.

What's in it for you?

The first and most obvious thing in it for you is the fact that this site stays online, and it stays up to date with relevent information containing the latest information about the latest release of whatever software interests you. A second thing can be recognition that you have donated - if you want it. Below is a Donations Hall Of Fame, it does two things, it tells others that you have donated, it also shows transparency from me, that I show all donations that I have received. Unfortunatly at the moment it is very sparse. Hopefully that will change when people like yourself find themselves in a position to be able to help. One last thing to mention, you can if you wish purchase dedicated time from me to help you out personally with a problem you may have with installing or configuring software. More details on that coming soon (but you may enquire about that at any time)

The final way that this site gets money is via the Google Adsense program. I have been running it on and off for 3 years - I did remove Google Ads for a period of time, but have recently put them back until more donations come in. Again, for transparency, the current total to come from Google Ads is just over $35.00 in those 3 years. No money from Google Ads can be collected until the total reaches over $100.00, so I may have to wait some time before this happens.
